Dec 10, 2015With its background ripped straight from ’80s video games and its foreground featuring rip-roaring guitar, Science And Magic bridges a gap between goofy nostalgia and a welcome adventure. [Jan 2016, p.95]

Dec 7, 2015Though we may never fully understand BUB’s highly advanced Space Speak comprised of rumbling mix of squeaks, chirps, and squrggles, listening to the ebullient Science & Magic would indicate BUB’s newfound ability to sneak out from under the proverbial bed and bask in a ray of sun.

Dec 7, 2015If this album was written and performed by humans I would say that, at best, it's a gratifying listen of retro arcade game inspired electronic music and, at worst, a whimsical yet unremarkable collection of instrumentals. Good fun, yet a little inconsequential.

Dec 7, 2015While a sci-fi-themed album by a celebrity cat is by its very nature a novelty, the music made here by Tobey and Bridavsky is quite enjoyable, and Lil BUB's many admirers will be comforted by the charismatic cooing and extreme purring heard in the breakdowns.

Dec 7, 2015Charm aside, it's an album by a cat.
