A great follow up to Pony and an excellent album in its own regard. Show Pony shows Orville Peck expanding his sound into a much more sonically charged and vocally-oriented performance.

This is a fun little album. It kind of serves its purpose. It's an EP bridging the album "Pony" to his next album. I had heard all of the tracks on this album before so there was nothing surprising on this one. Also, I love that Peck is finding his identity but this album emphasizes the country pop style than the gothic outlaw style of his previous album. I just hope he doesn't lose

I just hope he doesn't lose that raw cowboy character and adopt a more radio-friendly identity. However, there's nothing wrong with this album. The tracks on it are great any Orville Peck content makes me happy.
"Summertime" is a hit, but the cover of "Fancy" really takes the cake here. It's raw, emotional, and extremely powerful. He really belts and cries out on this track. I'd like to hear more of this on his next album.

ALBUM ARTWORK: The artwork is alright. It's Orville Peck, but what seems like amateurly painted. I assume it's fan art that he really likes and if that's the case, I respect that a lot to include it as the cover. But, besides it being just good, like the album itself, the color scheme makes it pop a bit more. The purple and texture is very nice.

Orville comes with another incredible job that despite being a simple EP, becomes a giant thing for the talent and brilliance of this mysterious and sexy cowboy.

This latest EP indicates that Peck’s brand of country can move past what listeners already heard on Pony. He continues to put a fascinating and subversive take on country music as he moves closer to mainstream stardom.

Show Pony is his declaration that if he's offered the spotlight, he'll claim it as the place he deserves to be, and on the basis of the talent and audacity shown here, only a narrow-minded fool would bet against him.

The original songs on Peck’s latest Show Pony EP are more vague [than Pony}.
