[A] brilliantly arranged debut album. [Oct 2005, p.84]
  2. 60
There is far too much going on at times. [Oct 2005, p.96]
  3. 60
By turns, it's both sublime and downright ridiculous. [Oct 2005, p.116]
  4. Jackson’s debut album is not always a success, as Smash’s panoptic detail eventually turns homogeneous.

Dark, glitchy microhouse in the vein of Akufen. Warp Records finds another prodigy.

i read an article on him the other day where he said something to the tune of "i make music that matches with what's in my gut," and this visceral slab of dirty design is just that. not to mention a wonderfully crafted, visually engaging, and bizaarely sexual record to boot. top 5 of 05. Expand
