You can’t examine Young Thug’s music too closely or think about it too carefully if you want to enjoy it, because the casual misogyny of throwing around “Pussy” as an insult reminds you he’s not exactly progressive. If you’re looking for bass to shake the concrete and singing so modulated as to nearly be R&B, tracks like “Jumped Out the Window” and “Boy Back” featuring NAV will definitely fit the bill.

I don't mean to shade him, the dude probably hardworking but I would never understand why people like him. His rap is forgettable, I can't even hear the lyrics, don't even get me started with the meaning behind the songs since there are none. This album is pretty much what every SoundCloud rappers, it's like a compilation of mixtapes. Crazy that people be praising these type of rappers who only rap over generic and oversaturated ass beats. Doesn't take much musical talent to be a rapper, just good marketing skills and flexing like dumbass. Full Review »
