By far the most fun I've had this year! Cool album especially for this hot summer.

Quite simply, a dazzlingly exciting glamour punk record. Girl group harmonies sour over the angular Siouxsie meets Pulp backdrops. A post-punk record to match any number of moods. Fabulous.

i first heard of the long blondes in 2005 when a friend sent me "giddy stratospheres" online. when i heard that they were working on a debut album, i searched music blogs everywhere to get some more of their songs. they are a flawless band, kate has such an amazing persona and the lyrics and music are great.

By far, the biggest surprise of last year. A terrific debut filled with tons and tons of solid gems. Sounds like the kind of record "the Smiths" would do if they had a female singer, instead of the legendary Morrissey. Anyway, flawless effort by this band.

I haven't had this much fun listening to music in a long, long time. Wonderful little surprise this was for me. I'm in love with Kate Jackson! She's both lovely and cool. She also has a great voice that packs quite a punch.

On this impressive CD, they effortlessly combine pop, punk, and dance. This combination sets them apart in the pop/punk world.

My love and longing for Elastica will go on forever, but this album should shut me up for a while

This is the album I've been waiting to hear for about three or four years. Gels together wonderfully after a few listens, and there are some absolute gems that get cleaned up.

  1. The one-time Best Unsigned Band In The Country have come up trumps with a debut album brimming with whip-smart, post-riot-grrl attitude.
  2. An honest, forthright and accomplished LP.
  3. An excellent debut album, full of brash confidence and seductive charm.
