    The songwriting is more disciplined, and the arrangements and production are tighter. Together they create a seamless but welcome change in aesthetic direction.

    The songs themselves, even when they are not traditional folk songs, share some of the time-worn general-ness of the folk genre. You do not, very often, feel that you are glimpsing directly into Gubler's psyche.

    Rich and rewarding, Starry Mind will be worth the wait for those who were hip to P.G. Six before, and for newcomers, it's a worthy introduction.
