Stone Breaker is undeniably a Mark E product, propulsive disco-house clouded by his trademark ambient haze, with terrific builds and releases. It's easily one of the better dance music albums that will come out this year.

Stone Breaker is the foundation of E building something new and completely different: an intense, head-down, relentless edifice of original, modern house music.

The gridded tempo and lack of obviously human elements mean the carnal implications are not as immediate, but Stone Breaker continues Mark E's impressive, underrated run in his signature style.
