Ariana's growth as an artist is very commendable and Sweetener is her best album. Raindrops is a beautiful introduction to the album.     Eu estou até agora arrependido pelo tempo que eu perdi baixando essa bomba em formato de álbum. Depois de ter lançado um álbum tão maravilhoso ela me vem com isso? Tem que ser muito fã para gostar de uma bomba dessa, quem deve ter amado são os terroristas que vão poder usar esse álbum como bomba.
    A minha expectativa para esse álbum estava enorme, mesmo tendo uma the light is coming no    Eu estou até agora arrependido pelo tempo que eu perdi baixando essa bomba em formato de álbum.     A minha expectativa para esse álbum estava enorme, mesmo tendo uma the light is coming no álbum que é outra porcaria eu tinha fé que o álbum seria maravilhoso pois tinha uma god is a woman nele, mas quando eu comecei a ouvir o álbum foi uma sensação horrível.
    Eu não gostava de uma faixa, pulava pro meio dela pra ver se melhorava e continuava ruim, dai ia pra próxima e era pior. Pelo menos agora não vou perder meu tempo dando stream para esse álbum e a única música que ouvirei dele é god is a woman, por isso que vou dar nota 1 para esse álbum, por conta dessa música.    … Expand

    Her best album by far. She discovered a whole new sound for her and it is beautiful, the songs make you feel happy and it really "sweetens" your day. If you listen to the album you need to make it with a clear mind and enjoy al the new sounds.

    Eu nunca escutei algo parecido! O album emociona de todas as formas possíveis.
    Eu esperava algo maravilhoso da melhor voz da década, mas ela me trouxe algo maior ainda. QUE BOM QUE VIVO NA MESMA ÉPOCA DESSA GRANDE ARTISTA!!!!

Actually hoping she doesn't work with Pharrell again for the next album.

    Some songs like 'successful', 'borderline' and 'sweetener' fell a little under my expectations however. 'sweetener' had a beautiful pre-chorus until the 'rapping' part came in and destroyed it into sounding like a Kidz Bop track.

    And also, the man in the background of 'the light is coming' should've been removed. It pains me because that song would've been great without it.    … Expand

    omg shes so mature. this album is so sick. it gives emotions and chills. some people say this album is trash but they didn't get she has changed n shes no longer in the yours truly, my everything, dangerous woman eras. she is what she became and one of the thing I love about her is being always herself and thats it.

    Beyond the singles, there are perhaps three songs on the album that I have consistently enjoyed regardless of how many listens. I have added an extra point in order to show that I respect Ariana's experimentation. However, the simple fact is that I don't enjoy the album. I found the Pharrell-produced songs to be messy and difficult to listen to. Particular praise must be extended to no tears left to cry, god is a woman, raindrops, breathin which carry the album. Comparatively, the light is coming, blazed, successful, sweetener and borderline are just messy and a disappointment, particularly considering Ariana's considerable talent.… Expand

    After delivering 'Dangerous Woman' and setting it as her best album to date at that time, the arrival of 'Sweetener' won't be able to change this scenario. While the singles were perfectly chosen, the other songs seem a bit off to what fans were expecting after receiving the amazing pop hits 'No Tears Left to Cry' and 'God is a woman', the two best songs of the album without a doubt.     I was left unimpressed by the 4-5 good songs on the entire album (those NOT produced by the guy with the big hat). I was expecting more from Ariana. Better try again next time, maybe we'll see some artistic development

    Ariana Grande's 4th studio album is the definition of lazy and messy production. Most of the songs on this record were Produced by Pharrell which, unfortunately, lacks quality production. Grande and Pharrell go together like nails on a chalkboard, which 95-98% of each track sounds like they were produced in a blender. God Is A Woman remains the most dominant track on the album but stillAriana Grande's 4th studio album is the definition of lazy and messy production.     This album had great potential, but lyric choices, lack of cohesion, and the weak start to the album after Raindrops are the downfall of the album. The album had quality highs however, my top picks are R.E.M, she makes beautiful use of her lower register for the first time in her career I believe, giving the song an enjoyable laid back sound, and No Tears Left To Cry which is pop gold, aThis album had great potential, but lyric choices, lack of cohesion, and the weak start to the album after Raindrops are the downfall of the album.     o melhor dela até então. a ariana entregou composições interessantes que fazem referência ao que tem passado e uma busca por melhora. bastante emoção acompanhada de vocais excelentes. algumas músicas soam bastante experimentais para ariana, mas com tempo elas vão ganhando mais sentido e melhorando.

I was honestly a little thrown back by the new direction and sound Ariana is going for with the new album. At first I wasn't too into it, but on further reflection, I am glad she is taking a risk and not just giving us the same album over and over again. In the end, I thought it was a success. It is a solid album that shows that she is capable of more and is willing to go there.

    This is her most different work,but in good way. Sweetener is cohesive. Ariana give us a lot of R&B songs mixed with pop sounds making a really great mix. You can tell she has been waiting to do an R&B album her whole life, even though she kind of did it with her debut album 'Yours Truly'.

Obviously, the songs we're already familiar with (No Tears Left To Cry, The Light Is Coming, and God Is A Woman) continue to be favourites from the album. And for my first listen, songs like Breathin, R.E.M., Better Off,Sweetener, for me, didn't fail to amaze me; it is everything I expected (and more) from Ariana. It is personal and experimental, totally unconventional, which I love. Obviously, the songs we're already familiar with (No Tears Left To Cry, The Light Is Coming, and God Is A Woman) continue to be favourites from the album. And for my first listen, songs like Breathin, R.E.M., Better Off, Goodnight N Go, and Get Well Soon stood out for me; my personal favourite, and the most relatable one to me, is Breathin.     Something about Sweetener just really clicked. I have no idea how to even describe it. Through listening to it more and more and letting these songs grow on me I really noticed how much Ariana's style has evolved and how they're even doing some experimenting by having Pharrell Williams produce a bunch of the tracks to really switch up the sound here. It    Sweetener is f*cking excellent.

    Something about Sweetener just really clicked. I have no idea how to even describe it. Through listening to it more and more and letting these songs grow on me I really noticed how much Ariana's style has evolved and how they're even doing some experimenting by having Pharrell Williams produce a bunch of the tracks to really switch up the sound here. It still has some obviously mainstream oriented ballads, but I feel like the album strikes a perfect balance between her classic, but now evolved, sound and this new kind of banging sound that not only was I not expecting but also didn't realize how well it actually fits.

    Whether the song is a relaxing vibey ballad or an absolutely banging anthem, all of the songs feel much more personal than in her previous projects. For example in the excellent addicting "The Light Is Coming" she talks about positivity and forcing yourself to look at the bright side of things by saying that the light is literally coming to get back what the darkness stole. This of course can either refer to just normal life but also the Manchester attack that took place during one of her concerts. She also talks about anxiety, going back to a previous relationship and also most likely about the Mac Miller breakup in the song "Better Off", but she also, like mentioned before, does a couple ballads where she talks about wanting to be with someone and falling in love hard or just getting head and f*cking. She also of course references her fiancé Pete Davidson in many tracks and even has a track completely for him which is very fittingly titled "Pete Davidson". She states how she's so happy with him with this night-vibey bassy production in the background that ends in heavenly violin sounds.

    She has definitely talked about these things before too, but here it just sounds and feels so much more polished. The lyrics aren't exactly mind-blowingly written or super deep in any way, but they can be fun, clever, emotional and very sweet. And with Ariana's angelic voice that sounds better than ever it's impossible to not be charmed by all of this. The production ranges from the vibey pop/rock sound to banging beats that I was pretty much immediately addicted to. They do all these little things with the music like layer Ariana's voice many times to have a choir effect or cut the beat off at some point for a second or two and put it back in to really make the flow of the song sink in to you. It's great that they paid attention to all these little details that make the music fun and fresh.

    This kind of sound is something that Ariana excels at, and I want her to keep at it and evolve it. I was highly anticipating this one but I was still very much surprised. Not just in a pleasant "Oh" way but actually in like a "Oh sh*t this is like actually really good. Great success!" way. It's brilliant.    … Expand

    Estou feliz com esse album, letras muito boas, produções diferentes e ótimas, nada genérico, diferente de seus antecessores mas as vezes me lembrou o Yours Truly ❤. Infelizmente não me parece muito com o tipo de música que os fãs dela gostam(mas especificamente os farofeiros) então prevejo muita reclamação

    O álbum realmente é o que não estávamos esperando. Mas falando de musica pop, isso é exatamente o que precisávamos.
    O disco fará você sentir-se apaixonado, angustiado e feliz. Momentos como REM e Better Of são os melhores do álbum.

    This album is okay, but compared to her other albums, it is really underwhelming. The album has some alright songs like "everytime", "breathin'" and "goodnight ' n' go" and some of the singles are cool too, but otherwise the album is very boring and forgettable.

    De primeira eu estranhei bastante o álbum, confesso que esperava algo muito mais pop, pop explosivo (principalmente pelos primeiros singles da era). Mas agora, depois de ouvir umas três vezes, é um álbum maravilhoso, suave, diferente de tudo que a Adriana fez anteriormente.

    Sem dúvidas, um dos melhores do ano! A Ariana nunca deixa a desejar, sempre tenta impor a sua força nas músicas como em "God is a Woman" além de que o seu amadurecimento foi preciso e trouxe esse disco inovador e coeso repleto de faixas lentas e suaves para sua potência vocal.

    This is definitely Ariana's most experimental album. She took a major risk as she's usually known for her pop songs, and this is definitely straight up R&B. I absolutely love it! Very well produced. Great work Ariana & Pharell.

    On this fourth album, Ariana captured every layer of your voice, managed to enjoy every melody and explore a new world and fit effortlessly, a sweet world, where everything was upside down and turned to one side, which has brought peace and comfort. Grande got the evolution and surprise more and more in their songs, an album directed to their fans that was always with her support. Congratulations!

The songs on the album are just great, but the production has been ruined by Pharrell Williams, except those tracks that were produced by Max Martin and Ilya. She and Pharrell make a surprisingly delightful pairing, his innovative beats nicely complementing her powerhouse vocals without overshadowing them (if that's even possible with a voice as formidable as hers), and I take particular pleasure in how strongly Sweetener is influenced by hip hop. Granted, there are moments of adherence to top-40Ariana really delivered with this record. She and Pharrell make a surprisingly delightful pairing, his innovative beats nicely complementing her powerhouse vocals without overshadowing them (if that's even possible with a voice as formidable as hers), and I take particular pleasure in how strongly Sweetener is influenced by hip hop. Granted, there are moments of adherence to top-40 conventions, but such moments are few and far between; when the album hits, it sticks, and this fourth release proves that Grande is an artist only interested in moving forward - personally and musically.

    The album isn't as well polished or extravagant as thank u, next, but there are some elements of this album that are really enjoyable. The album feels all over the place and I'd argue the musical directions feel a bit forced and uncomfortable for Ariana, but it's still a pop album that makes most look very bland.

This is what makes her such an incredible human. Even though what happened put her in a really bad place, she took that and turnt what could have lead to her silence for years, and bounced back with some beautiful music, and she came back more mature and more brave and daring that she probably has ever been in her life.This album, really marks a huge milestone. Not only in Ariana’s career, but for her fans, and generally in music too. Not many artists would have thought back the way that Ariana did and I think she has gained a new level of respect from the music industry, other artists, her fans, people who aren’t her fans, those from the UK, and everyone else from around the world. I do feel this album will be remembered as a symbol of bravery because of that, and Ariana, and her fans should be so proud.The album as a whole actually is incredible. Not only because of the triumphant return, and the story behind it, but because Ariana took risks musically and it payed off. There was a few songs on the album that after a few listens could get better, and there are a few songs that may not, but generally, the album is great. There are some great songs. Having listened to full thing through a few times, I can confidently say that this is easily the best pop album of the year, and one of the best period. It is well-written, sharply produced, and displays Ariana's vocals in ways we've never heard before. People who don't appreciate that simply don't have the range. All in all, this is Ariana's happiest and most mature body of work to date.     This is just an okay album. Nothing great. I mean Pharrell just kind of ruined the album with not-Ariana-friendly productions. Singles' choices were good, liked "no tears lef to cry", "the light is coming" and "sweetener".

    This is way better than you are all saying it is. Songs like ‘breathin’, ‘better off’, ‘everytime’, ‘goodnight n go’ and ‘r.e.m.’ are career highlights and ariana takes a more different approach than her big poppy choruses on songs like ‘sweetener’, ‘successful’ and ‘get well soon’.

    Like Katy, Madonna, Britney, Grande was not afraid to put a lid on it and released one of the most perfect albums in pop. Highlight for the tracks R.E.M, Sweetener, Breathin and Get Well Soon. She has been showing herself to be increasingly the new pop princess and queen of the new generation.

    El álbum tiene un tono muy característico y hace adentrarte a las canciones, la voz de Ariana esta muy bien nivelada y las letras de las canciones son increíbles. Las mejores del álbum son sin duda No tears left to cry y Breathin.

    Grande’s new sound, the Williams-produced Not-Bangers, only make up half of the album. These standout tracks are interspersed between standard pop tracks. ... That’s not to say that the Bangers on Sweetener are bad--it’s more that they belong in previous era of Grande and they spoil the flow between songs. Sweetener may not be the dawning of a new age for Ariana but it could be a step towards somewhere weird and wonderful.
