    the lyrics and production on this album are all over the place, the hooks on a lot of songs are awfull and apart from nicki minaj the features dont do nothing for this album. its not a bad album by any means but is for sure the worst she has ever put out

    Truly wonderful. Ariana Grande is showing a whole new level of versatility. She is incorporating r&b with a hint of pop and a touch of 90s diva. She is portraying what artist growth is. I'm incredibly proud of her, her work, and this new album. This piece is wonderfully produced and vocally executed well. This is a masterpiece. I love you Ariana!

    Melhor trabalho dela; como o próprio nome diz, as músicas são doces, adoráveis e agradáveis, sendo bastante coesas. Algumas ficaram presas na mesmice, mas a maioria conseguiu trazer algo diferente (o que acarretou críticas mal-fundamentadas). De todo jeito, um ótimo álbum.

    Sweetene ris a fabulous album R & B, in this album we realized that Aryan has no way of innovating as many teen has. she is so safe and her voice is impeccable, the songs are all hymns if the haters did not like .... problem them

    Sweetener is Ariana's best album to date. She tried a new style and has outdone herself. Breathin' would be a perfect third single tho. I'm obsessed with the album! Great job Ariana!

    O álbum realmente está incrível, mostrando um novo lado da Ariana, que não se prende a um gênero que as pessoas gostam e impõem, ela saiu de sua zona de conforto, para inovar, espero que em seu próximo álbum ela inove mais ainda seu contexto musical e tente também alguns outros estilos (nos que ela se encaixe, obviamente).

Lyrically, she sings more about her feelings and other topics and not just sing about love. While not all tracks are..."worthy", it's still an overall good album.     Even if you don't like the production or set up of songs, her vocals and lyricism alone can carry this entire Album.Critically this is definitely her best album to date knowing what she wants out of this album, the nice transitions, the amazing adlibs blended with harmonies, and very new and unique sound from her.

I know that this album is controversial and a lot of people don't vibe with the songs produced by Pharrell, which I understand. I absolutely loved the tribute to Manchester, I thought it was really touching. There are a few tracks on this album that stand off, which are her two main singles, get well soon, breathin, and everytime. The other ones are great as well, however, I don't like Pharrell's vocals in the background of sweetener. It's super annoying and over the top. Borderline was kinda boring. But Ariana's voice was great as always, just wish Pharrell didn't take over more than half of it. Overall, love this album! might be my second fave following Yours Truly… Expand

    This is like one of her best albums and one of the best albums of this year! The only songs that I didn't feel that good about were The Light Is Coming, Successful and Borderline but the rest of the album is AMAZING! It gives you chill vibes and it's so good to listen to it. The best ones are obviously the 2 singles and Breathin (the best on from the album). Another great work from Ariana!

    Ariana has been known for her pop style but her R&B style was also what she was known for. She takes a chance to step into the R&B and somehow it actually worked. She creates songs that are soothing and meaningful yet some songs have a empowerment tone to it. Ariana has always been doubted for what she produces but this is one of her best works!

    I am completely delighted by the way Ariana approached each song. At first, everything sounds weird and you seem out of your comfort zone. And that's what this album stands for, changes, ripeness and everything that does not seem to be beneficial to you, but in the end, you need a dose of sweetener to brighten up your life. ♥ thanks so much Ari ♥

    This is not Ariana's best album, but it's not her worst. Pharrell Williams is the reason why the album got a 7 for me. Max Martin and his team saved it with ''Everytime'' and ''Breathin''. I expected much more from Ariana since it's her fourth album and the last one was Dangerous Woman, her best body of work to date. In addition, Ariana has said before that this is her most personal album,This is not Ariana's best album, but it's not her worst. Pharrell Williams is the reason why the album got a 7 for me. Max Martin and his team saved it with ''Everytime'' and ''Breathin''. I expected much more from Ariana since it's her fourth album and the last one was Dangerous Woman, her best body of work to date. In addition, Ariana has said before that this is her most personal album, but she hasn't even co-written most of the songs. I feel a bit dissapointed because the singles were so good and they don't tell the truth about the album's real sound.

    Ariana Grande brings a new and experimental sound to her music, with many R&B elements, innovating away from her typical pop sound. She took a risk, and it paid off. A fantastic fourth album.

    One of her best albums, the lyrics are just perfect and it shows how she has grown from the Dangerous Woman era to now. That’s why it gave her a grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and it’s her favorite album from her discography!

    Grande’s new sound, the Williams-produced Not-Bangers, only make up half of the album. These standout tracks are interspersed between standard pop tracks. ... That’s not to say that the Bangers on Sweetener are bad--it’s more that they belong in previous era of Grande and they spoil the flow between songs. Sweetener may not be the dawning of a new age for Ariana but it could be a step towards somewhere weird and wonderful.

    Ms. Grande backs up her statements with song-and-dance mastery. ... She’s her own choir, support group and posse. While a few guest vocalists (Mr. Williams, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott) provide a little grit for contrast, Ms. Grande sails above any fray, past or present. Her aplomb is her triumph.
