This compilation of songs from films and tributes becomes nothing less than an inadvertent tribute to Kozelek himself, a finely woven tapestry of pop music as refracted through his heartfelt filter of pastoral, troubled beauty.
-
There are some great Kozelek covers and comp contributions floating out there that are missing from this half-hour disc, which still manages to finagle a whole lot of beauty out of the brevity.
-
Light as it may feel, Finally provides a concrete diagram for what Kozelek has been doing for years: taking big songs and packing them into very small boxes.
-
The bottom line here, of course, is if you are a fan, you'll need this and won't debate its merit one way or another. If you're new to Kozelek, you'll no doubt be wowed by some of this and bored by the rest.
-
This odds-and-ends comp is unusually straightforward.

Under The RadarThe only cohesion is in the artist, which is reason enough for some, but for most, this is a "collector’s only" item. [Year End 2008]
