    All the characteristics of JID's music appear in full force: the attention-grabbing beat switches equalled only by his effortless changeups in flow, absolutely absurd rhyme schemes and storytelling chops, and features that range from fantastic (Earthgang on their fun shit, a more fired-up Yasiin Bey than we've heard in the better part of a decade and a disarmingly beautiful cameo from James Blake) to the banal (21 Savage and Lil Durk, sounding exactly like you'd expect them to). ... Fun, idiosyncratic and personal.

    The skits poking fun at impatient fans and his quips about song leaks don’t fully conceal that Forever is JID’s attempt to be a hip-hop ringmaster playing every role in the circus. Even so, his expanded ambition is impressive.

    From the beginning to the start, the album consistently maintains the quality of the production along with the quality of the deep meaningful lyrics.
    The flow, the stories told, the instruments, everything is great. And the best thing about the album, is that this album has a huge accessibility and replayability.
    Over these few months, I have listened to it more than 40 times but I still can't help but vibe to it everytime I play it again. The tunes get stuck into your head and you'll keep coming back to this album again and again.

    Overall, this will be loved by anyone, regardless of whether a person is into rap music deeply or not. Even a casual listener would not hesitate to agree that this album is amazing.
    If I had to nitpick, I'd say that the track "Bruddanem" felt a bit messy, at times and there seems to be a hissing sound, if you listen to it very attentively. But this is just to nitpick and to specifically find out a flaw. Also, this is not necessarily a flaw. Maybe, this is the way J.I.D intended it to be.

    Overall, this album is a must listen to, if you are into rap music, even in the slightest bit.    … Expand
