  1. Demented, sloppy, brilliant, and above all a great way to spend three-quarters of an hour.
  2. While it requires some patience, The Maginot Line is far from impenetrable.
  3. If new album The Maginot Line... is decidedly less sentimental or cohesive in tone than its predecessors, it's all the braver for it.
  4. The Maginot Line has a title almost as dreary and foreboding as The North Sea had, a sense of vast futility and inescapable fate, and like that first album, the title belies the often bright and sparkling parts of the music.
  5. The Maginot Line, for all its ambition, exudes a warmth that the chilly and foreboding The North Sea tended to lack.

This CD is a great listen. Age is not an issue; even my parents like this music! I am over-the-moon about its its mastery and its mystery. This CD is a great listen. Less shambolic than BSS work, but still worth a listen!
