A great album from the serious tone on “Stan” and “ The way I am” to the “I don’t give a **** tone on songs like “Criminal” and “Marshall Mathers” truly a legendary album in the history of hip hop put together perfectly to create an album with replay ability and some of the best hits of the 2000s Expand

Definitely one of the best albums ever released in the rap industry. I consider this as the Eminem's masterpiece. In my opinion, the best tracks of this album are: Stan, Kill you, The Real Slim Shady, I'm back, Criminal and The Kids. The tracks i enjoyed less are: The way I am, who knew and Kim. The other ones left me quite unconcerned (it doesn't mean they are bad). So yeah, perhaps theDefinitely one of the best albums ever released in the rap industry. Complete trash. Its ugly, divisive, has simple instrumentals. Its pretty much ear rape for anyone above the age of 21.

A brilliant rap album! A second Eminem's job that is the best in my opinion. There are 18 tracks, 3 of each are skits and another one, which is first one is intro. It's the real rap classic with an excelent sound and a splendid, unforgettable atmosphere and, of course, an awesome Eminem himself. Must-listen!

This is Marshall at his peak! Every song on this Album is a masterpiece, from Kill You to Criminal. Stan was an incredibly influential song that literally invented a word. The Way I Am is the hardest Em song ever. The Real Slim Shady was a banger. You really can't go wrong with this Album.

Here a rap revolution happened, Eminem in 2000 simply released what would be the best rap album of all time, a crazy psychopath of the lyrical, a rhymer of the highest level, and with an undeniable talent of building a story in a song, he knew how to diversify the tone of the vocals with mastery accompanied by one of the best production works by Dr Dre, an album with 18 good tracks, withHere a rap revolution happened, Eminem in 2000 simply released what would be the best rap album of all time, a crazy psychopath of the lyrical, a rhymer of the highest level, and with an undeniable talent of building a story in a song, he knew how to diversify the tone of the vocals with mastery accompanied by one of the best production works by Dr Dre, an album with 18 good tracks, with at least 10 some of the best songs of Eminem's career, an untouchable and almost sublime album. What is there to say it’s the Marshall Mather lp one of Eminem’s best albums. This album follows a crazy thristy em who is out for everyone you are not safe from em on this album he disses everyone from Debbie Mathers he’s own mother, he’s wife Kim in a song about tying her up and putting her in the trunk,Christina Aguilera,Christopher Reeves, will Smith and Britany Spears.Let’s just say this album has no shortage of disses there’s always something to keep you interested from his lyrical capability to the dissing. This album also has what I consider to be Eminem’s best song Stan. Which follows a obsessed fan named Stan who is a Eminem super fan who claims to be he’s biggest fan.In this narrative driven song Stan sends Eminem letters but he doesn’t get around to replying to them after Eminem ignores Stan.Stan becomes annoyed and pissed off with em saying that it’s missed up he doesn’t answer fans also talks about he’s brother Matthew who he says likes him more then he does and how em ignored him.Stan later ties he’s own wife up who is pregnant and puts her in the trunk then drives her off a bride while recording a message to em.Then the end of the song follows Eminem writing back to Stan where he says that Stan needs to treat he’s wife better Expand

In my opinion, probably the weakest of the original white boy trilogy, if that even means anything. Dre is always nice with the production. Found the lyricism kind of boring and very lyrical miracle-esque, a style of rap I always find annoying. The point of this album seems to be for eminem to stick it to the critics and to just say whatever he wants, which gets boring after a while. If there's one thing that sticks with me on this album, it's the punch lines. That is the only part of the lyricism that is at all memorable. Mid. Expand

Obviously one of the best hip hop albums of all time, and will stay that way for at least another half a century. Rapping skills, storytelling, the beats, all perfect.

This album is amazing. The way Eminem conveys his anger into song is genius. Every song on this album is great, and it's a beautiful album. The Slim Shady LP was funny, but dark. This album adds an extra element to that by adding sheer, unbridled rage that shocks the listener on the first listen, yet makes sense as Eminem smartly conveys his anger into his words with metaphors and such. Overall, this album is great. It is held back by the beat selection, which could be better, but is still great. Expand

This album was quite underwhelming compared to The Slim Shady LP, and this album has a lot of songs taking himself too seriously and trying too hard be too edgy, it has some high highlights, such as the very catchy and humourous classic "The Real Slim Shady" which also has an enjoyable beat. More highlights include the lyrically sound songs "Stan" and "Criminal".

This is Eminem's second best album, just behind The Eminem Show. It's early Slim Shady at his best with witty punchlines, good story-telling ability, and some good memorable shock rap lines. It's early Slim Shady at his best with witty punchlines, good story-telling ability, and some good memorable shock rap lines. He flows well, rapping with intensity and passion. The lyrics were considered controversial at the time as they are supposed to be subversive. The beats are more stripped of ambient electronic synth elements, returning to more fundamental hip hop instrumentals for the most part, although there are some guitar and keyboard riffs here and there. Production was by Eminem himself, along with his production team F.B.T. and Dr. Dre. Really the entire album is worth a purchase, but the standout tracks are Criminal, Kill You, Drug Ballad, The Way I Am, and Stan. The Real Slim Shady was the radio hit. Kim is an emotional song where Eminem depicts the murder of his wife by himself, playing both himself and his wife, Kim. It's a wild song, and is a little unsettling. Obviously Eminem had marital issues with his now divorced wife, Kim Scott, and he hasn't seemed to settle down in a relationship with anyone since Kim. I wouldn't expect a female would want to get involved with Eminem after listening to the song "Kim." It's pretty brutal. Expand

The collaborative efforts of tracks like "Bitch Please II" and "Under the Influence" make Eminem seem like an ornamental prop in Dr. Dre's ever-growing hip-hop dynasty.
  2. The problem is, as the album drags on, young Master Mathers wastes his considerable wit and opts to grouse in the guise of a rampaging reactionary. Song after song finds Eminem viciously baiting real and imagined enemies, as if that's all he knows how to do.
  3. It just isn't as much fun this time around, no matter how fresh Dre's beats are or how many worthy targets get shot down along with the innocent.
