  • Summary: This two-disc set marks the long-awaited compact disc debut of the legendary band's 1982 live double album. While the original tracks are retained (and the discs follow the original's breakdown of 1977-1979 and 1980-1981), a whopping 16 tracks are added to the set, including 13 that were never before released in any format. 1. Captures the punk attitude, brittle R&B vamps, and quirky lyrical trips of their early years. [20/27 Aug 2004, p.123]
  2. 100
    Terrifically thorough. [Nov 2004, p.131]
  3. A caterwauling hunk of avant-garde precision.
  4. This is no cynical cash-in; every new track adds gestalt to an album which in its original incarnation was pretty damn great to begin with.

  1. Most of the songs on here will equal, if not exceed, the original album songs themselves. A must-have live album--I personally prefer this TH live album over "Stop Making Sense". Expand

This album is good but certainly not a 93 out of 100 or an 8.9 average review by other listeners. Perhaps a 7 but not even the best Talking Heads album released, let alone one of the best albums released in the last six or seven years. Expand
