If you've grown tired of the retro-metal sound of recent years, The Night Creeper is a good place to re-engage. Uncle Acid might not be sonic visionaries, but they're masters of their craft.

Although they occasionally overindulge--the eight minutes of Slow Death are aptly titled--for the most part The Night Creeper is taut and dynamic.

Fourth album The Night Creeper is their most convincing statement yet, a buzzing set of doomy psych-rock songs with great hooks and punishing riffs.

While the artwork borders on the iconic and the concept is very much in sitting with the band’s oeuvre, musically, The Night Creeper is a sub-standard addition to the canon of one of the most promising bands in modern rock.
