Here the stylistic plurality advances beyond likable ADHD-antics to the point where it no longer leaves the listening value unscathed.

If The OF Tape Vol. 2 proves one thing it's that Odd Future aren't just a product of the Internet hype machine.

Disturbing. Hilarious. Vapid. Thought-provoking. Misogynistic. Empathetic. Odd Future is all of this at once.

You can't fault the gang for wanting to let everyone from Mike G to Taco Bennett get their moment in the spotlight, but by doing so we're left with a tape that distinctly lacks cohesion. Even still, virtually every member of the group shows marked improvement here.

The strength and the weakness of the Odd Future crew is that Tyler does stand out from the rest of the Wolf Gang, and in many ways.

For better or worse, OF might actually be growing up.

It sounds like fun; precisely what the Odd Future discography has been lacking lately.

The OF Tape Vol 2 is an excellent addition to the group's canon.

Hype warranted, the mystery continues, and while no kid should write "666" on their forehead before getting their driver's license, Odd Future remains a vital force in the hip-hop underground.

Even though the album produces only a handful of great moments--Earl Sweatshirt's presence is still sorely missed--there's relief in knowing that everything remains raw.

The tape incorporates all of Odd Future's members with surprising ease (not an easy task considering all the stylistic differences at play) and pieces together the first release in over a year that'll remind people why they liked the group so much in the first place.

The O.F Tape Volume 2 has a fizzy energy that elevates it above its limitations.

With razor sharp, expletive-ridden lyrics and tight beats aplenty, it's undoubtedly Odd Future's most accomplished album to date.

Overall, Odd Future's shock value rap style comes across less intense on this project. [#252, p.89]

So proud of this record and have been waiting on it for a while. Not dissapointed at all. Odd Future cant seem to release anything bad. Highlights are Ned Flander, Forest Green, Analog 2 (Tyler sings at the end), White and Oldie... Every song is amazing though so give it a listen! Full Review »

A very good overall album, especially considering there are 18 songs and only about 3 to 4 songs you'd want to skip. Odd Future's rappingA very good overall album, especially considering there are 18 songs and only about 3 to 4 songs you'd want to skip. Odd Future's rapping skills have improved dramatically. Its a very diverse album, from the first song being sort of a rap battle with Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis with a nice beat, to songs like "White" and "Analog 2" that break up the pace. (In a good way) . Like I said, whats great about the album is that the songs are very diverse, and most of the songs are great. Each members rapping is way beyond anything they've put out before, and the beats on these tracks are crazy good. A definite buy if you are an Odd Future fan, and definitely one you should take a look at if you are a hip hop fan in general. Full Review »

I became happy for them and was very proud to be a fan of something so unique and original. Once I heard this mixtape; they lost a fan. This piece of garbage is embarrassing. I am frankly ashamed to see people saying this was good. I've heard better production in metalcore songs. Tyler and his crew have let the fame get to their head and are releasing pieces of garbage to the public, in exchange for petty money. Tisk tisk. Full Review »
