  1. This is the best pop album of the year and what Ashlee Simpson wishes to be.
  2. Sugar-sharp songs with a hint of intrigue. [13 Feb 2006]
  3. 60
The ballads, which are copious, are dull. [Mar 2006, p.115]
  4. The Secret Life Of The Veronicas won't ever be considered anything more than what it is: utterly disposable, shamefully enjoyable, and transparently unoriginal music that, in a just world, will spend its brief moment in the sun entertaining the 11 year olds who wouldn't dare miss an episode of That's So Raven.

This album is just incredible! I've been listening to it for years and I still love it very much! The melodies, lyrics...just perfect! They are very talented girls. Expand

Sure, it's teen pop, bubblegum, call it what you will. But the veronicas have such a well-crafted and hopelessly addictive album that it's impossible not to like at least a handful of its gems. A couple ballads fall flat, but for the most part, this record is what pop in general SHOULD sound like. It's good enough to appeal to older audiences too, as a guilty pleasure, or perhaps just a normal pleasure, since it's pretty good. Expand

They are sexy, but their music horribly suck. They are also 22-years-old like me. Maybe it could have been better if i died in a car accident during my childhood. Expand
