Directional swerves are admirable, but make an uneven set, especially as the material from their first three albums has more palpable sparkle than the rest.

  1. A great collection of the best from Goldfrapp. If you are lover of the band this album will come as a beautiful summary of their work to date. Nothing more needs to be said. Expand

Goldfrapp are one of those bands that are really pure synth pop but have alternative credibility probably due to the fact that they've had relatively modest commercial success. While technically not a best of album, this compilation really gathers their highest quality tracks. In fairness to them, they have a distinctive style and have put out the music they wanted to rather than putting out stuff that they thought would sell. There are quite a few tracks on here that you'll know but never knew were Goldfrapp. "Ooh la la", "Black Cherry" and "Yellow Halo" are my favourites on this. Expand
