Most people wouldn't understand music like this. "Rivers of Transfiguration" is a 24 minute epic and the most interesting songs I've heard. I love it. When the snare drum just juts in as if it were a gunshot I can't help but get shivers. If you ilke experimental stuff or cool folk stuff then this a must have.

This album is dark, desperate, and tense. It buids and builds but never releases, and it is also the loudest Six Organs record ever. Japanese Psyche influences abound. Beautiful...

  1. The opening seven tracks on The Sun Awakens are probably the strongest sequence of songs on any Six Organs release so far.
  2. If you were hoping for a predictable outing from Ben Chasny, you won't find it on The Sun Awakens.
  3. The Sun Awakens is the record he's been promising. Where School of the Flower was a leap, placing his singing and guitar playing in equal measure -- though there were numerous instrumental pieces -- The Sun Awakens is the place they burst forth, fully entwined, completely formed.
