This pair of grizzled old vets, together with their seemingly indestructible, mutton-chopped leader, still constitute a formidably powerful and a well-oiled rock & roll machine, there's no doubt about that. And that's one thing that certainly has been repeated many times over on most every Motorhead album, The World Is Yours more successfully than others.

Still, even though those songs momentarily slow the momentum and Outlaw sees Lemmy playing the Western card for the umpteenth time, The World is Yours is nevertheless a record fans will find well worth shelling out for, yet another statement by a classic band they won't be stopping anytime soon. Long may Lemmy and Motorhead run.

Their 21st studio album. Not so dissimilar to the other 20. [Feb. 2011, p. 108]

The World Is Yours is the usual drill: fast, frenetic and very, very loud, with Lemmy belching his messages of defiance and rock'n'roll redemption like a raging, fire and brimstone preacher. Who would want it any other way? [Feb. 2011, p. 124]

Thankfully, on The World Is Yours the band sound more engaged than they have in some time.

The World Is Yours won't set the world alight with insightful lyrics or experimentation, but that isn't what we've signed up for. This is an LP that just does not let up from the get go.

There are a couple of lesser chug-alongs, but mostly it's as good as anything in the Motörhead canon.

Much of this will sound familiar to Motorhead fans, but there are enough sly lyrical twists to keep things fresh, and when all else fails, Motorhead's rhythm section is still beastly.

Nothing Earth-shattering, but enough solid riffs and spiffy one-liners that won't seem too out-of-place during a headlining set.
