Even in its darkest moments... [This Too] remains grounded in a beautiful humanity. [Mar 2007, p.136]

Almost everything about this album is fragile and beautiful. [#24, p.94]

    A rewarding, intimate listen. [Mar 2007, p.101]
  4. Like Mum on a smaller scale, or a lightly medicated, loose-lipped Four Tet, his introspective songs sway hazily from image to metaphor, between yesterday's folk and tomorrow's digitalism.
  5. A strong album with some growing pains.
  6. The album is just so uniform in its beauty that tracks simply blend into one another.
  7. Hirway's music is a little too gauzy for its own good, but there are enough hidden surprises... to keep you wide awake, and the album is so majestic that it remains with you like a cherished memory... even if it is a fuzzy memory.
  8. Although This Too Will Pass is a very solid effort from a maturing artist, it seems to be missing some of the energy of previous releases.
