One of 2002's candidates for record-of-the-year honors.... Too Late is a top-to-bottom masterwork. [#54, p.85]
  2. Alternative Press
    80
Kid Loco's production style stresses the band's shimmering guitars and rich harmonies. [June 2002, p.82]
  3. The album is about a quarter filler, but the songs that hit on Too Late to Die Young make the tedium worth sitting out.
  4. Departure Lounge has forged an enchanting record to tune in, turn on, and drop into.
  5. Uncut
    40
Beneath the opulent layers and studio tweaks, however, lie some very orthodox, very average Eighties indie songs. [Mar 2002, p.96]
