Jan 13, 2022I'm surprised to read the negative reviews below. This is a catchy and fun album that's enriched with McTrusty's relatable lyrics and thick Glaswegian accent. It's not going to revolutionise current music; it doesn't aim to. just take it for what it is and enjoy it.

Jan 10, 2022It's not a bad album, but it's different from what the band usual do. So It's a Average album.

Jan 8, 2022This album is so generic and boring, I thought several of the tracks were ads on Spotify. With horrible vocals, boring instrumentals, and predictable song and chord structures, this album is truly unique in that it does not stand out in the slightest. Garbage album from a garbage band.

Jan 7, 2022It has alot of potential but is ultimately generic. It goes around in circle's teasing a cathartic release that never comes. A boring start to the year.
-
Jan 7, 2022It was fun at times, with some nice melodic rock songs, but even though they were "transparent", they lacked originality and authenticity.
-
Jan 7, 2022Transparency is the sound of a band restlessly searching for a new direction and pulling it off very well.
-
Jan 6, 2022The album emerging as willfully lo-fi, bouncing along on cheery electronica while McTrusty's almost spoken-word panic attack showcases his rich Glaswegian vocals. [Feb 2022, p.79]

Jan 6, 2022The record sags in the middle when the pace dies down (on ‘Haunt’ and ‘It’s Getting Dark’), but ‘Transparency’ never overstays its welcome. It may not produce the “massive hit” McTrusty once pined for, but it’s a sign there’s life in the old dog yet.
