Transverse is an exceptionally immersive, expertly captured documentation of a tumultuous performance that has already earned a place in recent history.

A magic carpet of woven steel, Transverse soars up and out, borne aloft on ghostly vocals and sheets of guitar noise.

In the hands of artists as confident and unflinching as these three, the scope for discovery and growth becomes infinite. The darkest of gems.

Like all great live albums (Live at the Apollo, Double Live, After Dark), it will make you eternally thankful that someone had the foresight to hit the record button.

Moments of stark beauty do chime or trill within the trio's overall locked-in-the-engine-room sound.

Set of four live songs recorded and included on the "Transverse" shows that Carter Tutti Void can surprise listeners of electronic music with new ideas. Compositions such as "V3" and "V4" are a combination of ambient, industrial space music with a strong electronic overtones, accompanied by a characteristic style of shoegaze wall of sound. The whole project is worthy of attention. Expand
