  1. Whilst Ash's signature energetic punk-pop pastiches are very much in evidence in the shape of "I Started A Fire," "You Can't Have It All" and "Princess Six," it's fair to say that they have managed to explore acres of new territory.
  2. Despite a handful of makeweight tracks that might not exist in Ash's brave new digital world, it has the virtues of its format: cohesiveness in mood, diversity in sound.
  3. This is a pretty bog-standard Ash collection, nothing more, nothing less.

had combined the betters part's of their follow up A-Z series with the
better parts of this they could have produced one really strong album.

This is Ash from their best side. Shame that one of their singles didn't quite top the UK charts. This album is filled with hit This is Ash from their best side. Shame that one of their singles didn't quite top the UK charts. This album is filled with hit potential, though. "You Can't Have It All" is an explosive track with a great chorus that blasts off after a pretty laid back verse. "Blacklisted" would really be a great hit if it was promoted right. One of the most catchy numbers by Ash. "Polaris" is the kind of big and beautiful version of "Starcrossed" with piano. And then, the greatest number on this CD, the title number "Twilight Of The Innocents". It is big, beautiful, pompous and mind-blowing. This number is one of the most anthemic and epic numbers made by Ash. The almost 7 minutes are hone so fast, and you just can't wait to hear it again. Full Review »

Fantastic album. It a disgrace that it charted so badly.
