Without a doubt for me it's one of her best almbums and it contains songs that recall a much more meaningful and deep message such as Don't Tell Me or Nobody's Home.

This album focuses a lot more on breaking up and she harshes and hones her sound into a fine tuned needle of energy focussed on stupid teenage boys and the follies of dating young.

Demuestra desde un punto juvenil que llega a ser maduro sin necesidad de letras apáticas.

This album shows an evolution for Lavigne in the deepness of her lyrics. The music makes you feel really emotional and you can feel what Avril is feeling.

One of my favorite albums. So personal, deep and true when it comes to the lyrics and that's what makes it relatable. Tracklisting is also very powerful, starting with angry Take Me Away and finish it with emotional Slipped Away. Cover art gives to the atmosphere of the album.

The best album of Avril! It's completely dark and grungy. The emotions are true and deep. The way she scream and yell made the album so irresistible. A record that suits for a college student who deals stress, confusion, pressure, depression and anxiety.

Tina Turner she ain't! And have you read the lyrics? "She wants to go home / But nobody's home." Bet Carole King is threatened...not.

2 years later, Avril repeats the great formula. This album has the dark touch that every teenager at 2004 could relate, strong and deep lyrics, pure female rock, devastating but inspirational sounds, simply perfect!

Avril Lavigne constantly produces great music, however this album remains Avril's leat known album purely because it is her worst. Some tracks are amazing such as Take Me Away - however others are rather tragic i.e. Don't Tell Me.

All in all a good effort. Some gorgeous songs, some powerful vocals, some pop rock and some basic teen rock - just an all round good album, not overly memorable, but not totally forgettable.

Era gotica, musicas carregadas de emoção e levando para um lado mais escuro... O disco particularmente é meu favorito por ter varias musicas dignas de serem chamadas de hinos do pop/rock

This album helped me so much through a time which i was very upset and confused, but on purchasing this album, I overcame the problem effecting me at the time. Avril Rocks and she always will so everyone who thinks other wise and shut up!

6/10 - "She has deepened and darkened her sound without sacrificing her platinum-plated melodies" - Blender

It's a little bit awkward lyrically; Avril wants to show us that she's a 'serious' songwriter but she doesn't really seem to have anything to write about, apart from boys.

Under My Skin é um dos melhores álbuns que eu já ouvi, e o melhor da Avril. As letras são fortes, a instrumental é maravilhosa e a voz da Avril está impecável. É o álbum favorito dos Little Black Star's, e é o meu também.

Pontos altíssimos: Nobody's Home, Togheter, Fall To Pieces
Ponto baixo: I Always Get What I Want

Critic score distribution:
  1. Positive: 7 out of 14
  2. Negative: 1 out of 14
  1. A good, if slightly disappointing, follow-up.
  2. Under My Skin is a bit awkward, sometimes sounding tentative and unsure, sometimes clicking and surging on Avril's attitude and ambition.
  3. Both more satisfying and more formulaic.
