AlexF.Jul 25, 2007This album was way better then her last one. At least this album had some feeling to it and was not as pointless.

Dec 4, 2016All in all a good effort. Some gorgeous songs, some powerful vocals, some pop rock and some basic teen rock - just an all round good album, not overly memorable, but not totally forgettable.

Feb 27, 20166/10 - "She has deepened and darkened her sound without sacrificing her platinum-plated melodies" - Blender
It's a little bit awkward lyrically; Avril wants to show us that she's a 'serious' songwriter but she doesn't really seem to have anything to write about, apart from boys. -

Jun 5, 2017Avril Lavigne constantly produces great music, however this album remains Avril's leat known album purely because it is her worst. Some tracks are amazing such as Take Me Away - however others are rather tragic i.e. Don't Tell Me.
Awards & Rankings
-
A good, if slightly disappointing, follow-up.
-
Under My Skin is a bit awkward, sometimes sounding tentative and unsure, sometimes clicking and surging on Avril's attitude and ambition.
-
Both more satisfying and more formulaic.
