    With songs that have long ago morphed into brutal initiations, if you can somehow defend yourself long enough Ho99o9 almost invite you to see their world through their hazed-over eyes. In a shadowy landscape of startling binary logic, it becomes easy to draw the line through through Converge, The Prodigy, Death Grips, Pantera, The Stooges, Danny Brown and DMX if you’re only here with that one goal--to start the fire. Ho99o9’s particular arson is burning bright.

    As a fusion of hardcore punk and intense industrial rap, United States of Horror is pretty great in bringing fiery energy and passion. This isAs a fusion of hardcore punk and intense industrial rap, United States of Horror is pretty great in bringing fiery energy and passion. This is definitely mosh pit material! However it can't raise higher than okay because as a fan of punk music, this has some of the best and worst of hardcore punk. While the energy and muscular playing is here, it also carries over the same familiarity that led hardcore into it's downfall by the end of the 80s. If you follow the holy punk scripture of Black Flag and Dead Kennedys you are going to know where a lot of these sounds are going. Not to mention the lyrics, while it can hit that left-wing political sweet spot, it can be SUPER EDGY like a white kid writing about how the government is corrupt. They do have promise, for sure. But they unfortunately are committed to the hardcore sound that has all the worst aspects along with the best.… Full Review »
