Smart and slick but vulnerable too, it's the point where Blonde On Blonde meets Voulez-Vous. [Apr 2020, p.33]

Taken together, infectious rhythms, smart lyrics, and effervescent chorus hooks that deliver throughout Ur Fun make it more than a mere amusement.

UR FUN is as concise, focused, and sparkling as of Montreal have ever been.

While Of Montreal's brand of pop music has often been brainy and verbose, these songs offer simpler pleasures. UR FUN is, well, fun.

UR Fun is one of those albums which will delight their fans, and probably not make too much of an impression outside the fanbase. What this album shows is that Barnes and his band are still capable of providing a soundtrack to the best party you’ll never be invited to.

If you are a fan of synth-pop soaked in '80s worship, you will likely find something to love here. If you want something more than a simple, sugar-coated pop album, however, you might want to skip this one.

UR FUN—a confection, a distraction, a collection of competent and sparkling pop songs—doesn’t open itself to the world as it stands in this moment.

Easily one of, if not the most energetic and inventive musical artist of the last 20 years. He's not making music to sell, he's making music so that he has something to listen to that doesn't bore him. Don't Let Me Die in America, St. Sebastian, and Deliberate Self-harm ha ha are standouts.

A nice beat that keeps a solid energy that will enjoy those who like good Indie-Dance with some Retro and Vintage tones. I wouldn't expect less from Kevin Barnes, who produces this album and has shown, in his career, a devotion for exploring his musical vision to the last corners. Even though it's not his best project given to some tracks fall in ballads which popularity will immediately vanish, several songs will entertain the public in general.

There is nothing adventures or fun here. It is generic and safe. A die-hard fan might enjoy it but for me, it was really boring. Some tracksThere is nothing adventures or fun here.
