One wishes they would spend a little more time plowing through the album while kicking amps and knocking over mic stands rather than changing things up.
-
Vision Valley doesn't really offer anything new or exciting.
-
Vision Valley might be a little predictable, but at least the Vines sound like they're back in control of their lives and music again.
-
A knack for woozy melodies is one weapon at Nicholls' disposal; but here they're fatally undermined both by his petulant vocal style and by the rickety, paper-thin production.
-

-

-

-
The album fails to make any impression other than utter mediocrity.
-
Some nice instrumentation, with mandolin and other strings makes for an odd juxtaposition with the stunningly inane lyrics.
