    This sense of fearlessness permeates this album. Simple Minds positions themselves perfectly on Worlds: not trying to relive past victories nor trying to match up with the sound of current chart hits. Kerr, his longtime bandmate Charlie Burchill and the current lineup of the group remain true to themselves, with a wonderful collection of dramatic, thoughtful songs that contains messages that can serve both personal and universal concerns.

    Era muito aguardado ao fãs atentos da banda escocesa, pois há 4 anos atrás em 2014, era lançado "Big Music" visto por muitos como uma verdadeira volta a forma, com críticos rigorosos chegando a dizer que era o melhor álbum em 30 anos, ou seja o melhor desde "Sparkle In The Rain" de 1984, ao meu ver é um tremendo exagero, não no sentindo de "Big Music" não ser tão bom assim o álbum é excelente e realmente o melhor há anos, mas justamente um exagero no sentido do álbum ser o melhor desde do lançado em 1984, eu como um grande fã da banda, acho "Once Upon A Time" (1985) e o altamente injustiçado "Street Fighting Years" (1989) são excelentes álbums, "Cry" (2002) "Black And White 050505" (2005) e "Graffiti Soul" (2009) são ótimos álbums.

    Porém é inegável que Big Music foi o álbum mais sofisticadamente produzido e criado do Simple Minds desde talvez "Street Fighting Years" (1989), embora "Black and White 050505" seja um forte álbum que bate de frente com Big Music.

    Big Music mostrou um Simple Minds mais confiante e também mais inspirado num som que eles realmente se mostraram seguros criando algumas das suas melhores músicas em anos.

    Walk Between Worlds lançamento esperado ansiosamente por mim e pelos outros fãs, eu já tinha uma certeza de que o álbum não iria me desapontar, fiquei mais seguro ainda com a disponibilização das três músicas lançadas como singles antes do lançamento do álbum, sendo as músicas a ótima "Magic", a excelente "The Signal And The Noise" que fez recordar o velho Simple Minds do ínicio dos anos 80, e finalmente a magistral "Sense Of Discovery" cuja semelhança com o hit "Alive & Kicking" em vez de incomodar faz o contrário ao enche os olhos e os ouvidos com uma linda melodia Nostagica ao mesmo tempo que mostra como deve ser usada a tecnologia atual em benefício de uma verdadeira obra-prima de música pop.

    Mais ainda assim Simple Minds conseguiu surpreende e muito, entregando um álbum sólido, lindo e completo em todos sentidos. Com uma incrível diversidade sonora entre cada música que dificulta ao ouvinte encantado a escolher preferida, "Utopia" terceira e bela faixa é um belo exemplo dos Simple Minds arriscando e acertando com êxito um som novo ou incomum a banda, "In Dreams" quinta e magnífica faixa é outra que mostra os escoceses dominando um belo som e melodia, que nos lembra o som dos também veteranos New Order e Pet Shop Boys que surgiu pertinho dos Simple Minds.

    "Barrowland Star" outro ponto alto do álbum, então é uma das mais complexas e perfeitas criação dos Simple Minds, com um desenvolvimento musical altamente cuidadoso, que incluem sons de teclados, sintetizadores e também violino que deixa o ouvinte em estado de êxtase, progressiva, emocionante, com um poderoso refrão ao mesmo tempo que também não deixa de abandonar o Rock n Roll com um dos melhores solos de Charlie Burchill.

    Depois de acabar a verdadeira jornada que é "Barrowland Star", outra excelente faixa, marca presença que mereceu ser o título do álbum estou falando da "Walk Between Worlds" que é épica ao nível da antecessora "Barrowland Star", "Walk Between Worlds" junta o New Wave pesado de "Sons And Fascination" magicamente com a leveza das faixas mais pop eletrônico do "Big Music".

    "Summer" segunda faixa também não deixa de brilhar, um hino do New-Wave, e o álbum realmente não poderia fecha melhor, com a excelente "Sense of Discovery".

    "Walk Between Worlds" décimo sétimo álbum dos Simple Minds, tinha a difícil missão de suceder o excelente "Big Music", mas no final não só o sucede perfeitamente como também o supera, e não digo isso de forma equivocada, ao contrário digo com certeza.

    "Walk Between Worlds", não é só um dos melhores álbum da longa carreira dos Simple Minds, mas também é um dos melhores álbum dos últimos anos, é Simple Minds na melhor forma possível.

    Obs. Não se esqueça de escutar as excelentes e inéditas duas faixas bônus "Silent Kiss" e "Angel Underneath My Skin".    … Expand

    Simple Minds actually has overcome themselves, Because Walk Between Worlds is more diversified than Big Music (2014), the songs are really different one of another, and each one at their sounds are all great songs.

    The Signal And The Noise, Barrowland Star, In Dreams, Walk Between Worlds & Utopia is just one of best songs that Simple Minds released in last years.
