I am a TBS fan until the end the album is very good but i can see why some people might say that it is predicatable in places but they can not deny that by the end of the songs that they are singing along. Also , the lyrics are very gd and ppl can relate to them ...well maybe not relate but it makes you feel better about your situation. Even though TBS lost alot of its punch and cleverness (lyricly), i believe this is a good follow-up to Tell all your friends. This album blows away every other so-called "emo" band.

It's just...amazing. REALLY good. Before two days ago I'd never heard of TBS...borrowed this CD, and I'm hooked. MUST get the other one...especialy since people say it's better than this one (I've got Where You Want to Be) Honestly...this band awesome, I really recomend it.

Everything you might expect from a sophomore release, though not really a slump. Things get a little more predictable, but consistent. It isn't going to convert anyone, but that isn't the intent. Old fans will be happy, "emo" haters will just hear another crappy cd.

i like tbs a lot. but this album is NO DIFFERENT at all in anyway what so ever than previous tbs stuff. it is good , but hey why buy it if i already have the first record. dont they use the line "ive got a bad feeling about this" in another song...?

Ok, so this is emo. Through all its bliss and folies. Say what you will about the genre, but musically, this album is amazing. While not quite the masterpiece 'Tell All Your Friends' was, this is still a very solid follow-up.

Basically, TBS invented this genre of music, or at least revolutionized it, and to continue in THEIR OWN fashion is NOT a wrong doing. everyone else COPIED THEM...but i love this cd, possibly better than their first, although they over do the staccato beat...but overall it's an excellent album

Its a good album, one thats worth buying/downloading, but its always going to be hard to beat their debut album 'Tell All Your Friends' which many people fell in love with and is definitely my all time favourite album. I think the new guitarist is more creative on this album, and what I think brought the quality down was probably the catchiness and passion of the songs. For example; New American Classic. Perfectly okay ballad, but you can tell its missing something, the passion and the pleading lyrics maybe? All in all its not a bad album, but Taking Back Sunday are set to definitely do better by the reviews of their new album, apparently bringing back everything 'Where You Want to Be' lacked. Expand

Easily my favorite album ever. It has sick lead songs, and even the "weaker" songs kick ass. It is very underrated and very underappreciated. Being a follow up to a great debut album, Taking Back Sunday really pushed the boundaries in this pop-punk masterpiece.

  1. [It's] not just emo, but the purest, most virulent strain of the stuff.
  2. The [lineup] changes bolster the will to power in Lazzara's Cure-like croon.
