Great album, but Pure Guava by the same artist was more shocking and creative in its time... Thats why i only gave it a 9er

66? 66? 66? What the hell? How could such an amazing album and band get such a low rating? What are people listening to? I can't help but ask questions after seeing that score. Wow.

The most talented and honest of all thier Albums. Shows thier true talent and songwriting skills. I cannot get enough of this. Stay Forever is now me and my mates theme song. All Hail Ween!!

I like this album, but it's a bit on the weak side for them. I like The Mollusk, Quebec, chocolate and cheese, and even La Cucaracha better than this. With that said there is a few gems here. Bananas and Blow, Pandy Fackler, Falling Out, Flutes of chi are all awesome.....stay forever sucks.

This album does not deserve a 66 score. All of the songs, besides Pandy Fackler and Bananas and blow, get 4 stars. I do miss the weirdness of Ween's old albums, though.

Ween is so satisfying because they're making something that's at once smarter and grosser than the competition.
  2. Ween are at their best when they either dive headlong into ridiculousness or play it totally straight (admittedly, they don't do the latter very often). Here, however, they walk a rickety platform between those extremes and frequently fall into the ironizer's pit.
  3. It's frustrating to see them pissing around like South Park's Matt and Trey, when they can produce something as genuinely affecting and pure pop as 'Stay Forever'.
