scotfJun 2, 2006Friggin amazing. The nuance they find in rock tickles my brain while my feet and head are still moving. Worth many repeated listens, there is no way the first listen will sound as good as the third, give it time, it will reward.

SteveHFeb 22, 2006I can not stop listening to this record. It gets better everytime. It took me a bit to warm up to it , originally expecting a little more solid guild, but there diversion away from their first album was splendid. I am a horny ghost!

MarcelloSDec 4, 2005Hey Richard M, now I too have given this album a good score, and rather than the fifty dollars I just want to know what you're talking about. And the new Fall record? Not so hot.

Much of With a Cape and a Cane is plagued with over-the-top dance wankery and a bit too much recycled influence.
-
With a Cape and a Cane sounds almost nothing like its predecessor; the songs ring a million times clearer and the hooks bite far harder.

Entertainment WeeklyThe Joggers' asymmetrical riffage and labyrinthine phrasing sometimes achieve moments of epic indie-rock grandeur. [14 Oct 2005, p.152]
