    The wait was totally worth it. Although short for a full album, I appreciated all the songs. The members have so much chemistry together and we definitely saw an improvement in their artistry. Rosé’s magical voice is the top tier in this album. We already knew she was a talented vocalist but with this album, she’s the one who shined the most. That’s how powerful she is. And funny little note, I love how sometimes her Australian accent comes out. It’s so cute!
    The Queen of Rap is back. Blinks have been *impatiently* waiting for the queen, and when she comes she never disappoints. In terms of female kpop rappers, Jennie is undoubtedly the best one out there. Her rhythm, her tone and her swag are what all wannabe rappers wish they had. But not only does she thrive in rapping, she’s also a wonderful vocalist. Her notes so well done.
    Jisoo’s the one who stood out the most for me in this album. We all know she’s a wonderful vocalist and so under appreciated, but this album she threw me away. Her husky tone voice is so special in makes me feel so at ease every time her part comes out, especially in “You Never Know”. She’s usually the one who has the least lines, but this album we finally saw how great she can be when given an opportunity.
    Now we close with the maknae of the group, miss Lisa. My bias.. she wrecked me. In. Every. Single. Track. There’s something so special about her that many don’t have or wished they had. Her swag is out of this world every time she raps. She and Jennie are definitely the two best female, or should I say, rappers in general. Although I wished to hear more of Vocalist Lisa, the parts she sang were great. And she could even be mistaken as a Lead a vocalist. In conclusion, the wait was long. 4 years to be exact. Do I wish it had more songs? Yeah of course. But am I happy with what we got? HELL YAH. Is this album of year material? HELL YAHHHHHH. The girls outdid themselves with this album and i’m so happy to see them finally getting the recognition they so deserve after some many other fandoms hate targeted them. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, you guys are awesome so incredibly talented. Cant wait what you have in store for us in the future!    … Expand

    Amazing first full length album. So much emotion put into one Masterpiece. Each tracks has different raw emotions and each has its own vibes. The Album itself is a BOP with so much Swag. Korean Pop music crossing over to an electro pop, hip hop, and trap with a mix of R & B. Love it!

    This album really proved these girls talent and versatility as they gave a new sound on every song. I’m in love with this album as it shows quality over quantity and each song could very well be the title track. This album deserves so much praise and a number one because it truly is amazing.

    They did an incredible job for all the songs, I’m glad they released 'how you like that' and 'ice cream' because those are the lamest songs of the album. All the other songs are amazing, I’m not even a blinks but this album might be the reason I’ll become one in the future.

I am not a huge kpop listener, but when I was scrolling through my twitter feed seeing BLACKPINK was set to release another album I knew it worth listening to. And was I right! Particularly I like to compliment Rosé’s singing in this album. She truly grabbed me in and made the song all that much more enjoyable. Rosé, you are amazing.     I have never listened to a whole album and liking all the tracks. Each title track deserve an MV. Even as a fan, we get tired of same styles and same vibe however, this album exceeded all of our expectations as fans. It is definitely one of the best. GRAMMY worthy.

    With their Pre-release 'How You Like That' and 'Ice Cream', they already showed us how these 4 girls known as Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé can rules the black and pink concept in these 2 Pre-release. Coming with 'Lovesick Girls' and their long waited debut album since 4 years ago, 'THE ALBUM' is not showing last two concepts that they had but, more diversity of them become a BLACKPINK themselves.

    The only disappointment is I feel 8 songs are not enough. Just imagine when you are on the really high and the party is over. Hope there will be more than 10 songs in the next album.
