  1. George has an indistinct voice somewhere between Suzanne Vega and Cat Power. Her lyrics are not mind-blowing, but not at all banal.
  2. Inara George's voice is so gorgeous and soothing that you'll immediately believe that you can listen to it forever. Unfortunately, by the fifth or sixth song on All Rise, you'll wonder if you have been listening to her forever.

Reaffirms George's place as a star in the making. [#16, p.138]

Simple acoustic music lined with occasional piano and an inglenook voice owing much to early Joni Mitchell or Carole King. [Aug 2006, p.93]

All Rise flitters about like an overly melodramatic actor: it might be pretty, but it offers little more than monotony. [#67, p.97]

The songs, both original and covers, are amazing, especially when her unique and lovely voice begins to toy with them. Terrific and surprising.

I really love her vocal style, clear and fresh. Nice to hear Jackson Browne in background on the one track. Will look for more of hers in the future.
