Feb 8, 2012I have mad respect for Asher Roth. The Greenhouse Effect, Seared Foie Gras and Pabst & Jazz are all classics in my book. And asleep in the bread aisle does not show Asher's ability at all. As I Em, Lark on my Go Kart, and Fallin are my faves.

JimmyPMay 1, 2009I think that this cd is a wasted opportunity. From those who heard his mixtape and other freestyles and stuff knows that this guy has talent. But it seems like that he tried to hard to please everybody with this album...Not a bad album just a disappointing one.

BenApr 27, 2009This CD is terrible. He rhymes a bunch of random things together that makes absolutely no sense at all. He doesn't sing or rap, he just talks to terrible "beats". No talent at all. Most of all, he has no flow or rhythm.

JohnDApr 23, 2009Catchy Suburban White - Boy Rap.. Solid fun from start to finish.

MardyBApr 22, 2009Witty? Seriously? A majority of his rhymes are done for the SAKE of rhyming, not a flowing concept. This guy is a hack, and he's turning into the creepy guy lurking at college parties wishing to relive those years of pretending responsibility doesn't exist.

JamesS.Apr 21, 2009Love the saved by the bell stuff on lark on a go cart, who knows if the whole internet rapper thing will last though.Charels Hamilton and Wale are already a little bit stale to me.Overall I had to skip a few songs due to bordom but not bad a good summer album I give an 8.

Asleep in the Bread Isle is an everyday suburban rap album, if there is such a thing.
-
Roth never floats sham tales of suburban hardship here. Instead, he just wants to have a good time--and for the most part, he provides one as well.
-
The effortlessly cool beats, hooky choruses, and above all, his witty, super-fast flow indicate this skinny blond to be a genuinely talented star.
