[Her cover of Bon Iver's Skinny Love] is easily the high point of her debut album.

For now Birdy remains a novelty. Her rich, malleable vocals suggest, however, that she won't be caged for long.

A perfect album, one of my favourite albums of 2012. She is a rising star and we will hear alot from her. so mature for a girl. Her ability to use the piano is astonishing. Amazing Expand
  3. Birdy is the self-titled debut studio album by English recording artist Birdy, released on 4 November 2011. The self-titled debut for Jasmine van den Bogaerde features covers of songs by such artists as The National, Francis & the Lights, Bon Iver, the xx, Naked & Famous, Fleet Foxes, Postal Service, and James Taylor . The musical stile of this album is indie folk, pop, alternative. The album is overall relaxing and suggestive. The only reason I don't give this girl a 10 is because I want to hear more original songs and not just covers, even thought they are brilliantly made. Expand
  4. Birdy delivers a sensory music, touching, which takes us to the guts and that we never loose. I understand the repetitive melodies against him, but it creates a universe that is his. His voice is incredible purity, and I would say why, but it reminds me sometimes "Florence and the Machine". An aspiring actress, I hope at least. Expand
