This is a marching band that’s veered way out of formation, and is making utterly original music.
-
Alternative PressEarnest and joyful throughout, they don't make records like this anymore, so be glad Anathallo didn't listen and made one anyway.
-
Canopy Glow sees the band returning to a more straightforward pop format--as straightforward as a band with a penchant for the theatrical may ever get--with successful results.
-
this album is never less than interesting. It’s just that with but a touch of discipline, they could create something truly magical.

-

-
There are some amazing moments on this record; it's a crying shame that they're linked with the sound of a band treading water.
