  1. I don't know if this is one of the bravest or boldest albums of the year, but its definitely one of the neatest.
  2. Spin
This is the work of noise nerds bent on finding beauty where others see nothing but a tangled mess. [Jul 2004, p.110]
  3. Alternative Press
It's a unique psychedelic experience only the most headstrong will be able to handle. [Aug 2004, p.122]
  4. Ultimately Creature Comforts is another starry refraction in the cosmic music that Black Dice have claimed, one that hasn't failed yet in dazzling.
  5. One of this year's most interesting records.
  6. This is a headphone record of the highest order, where every last detail should be isolated against your ears and pored over.
  7. If you don’t like noise records then you [should] steer clear of this, but if you happen to like listening to the sound of vacuum cleaners, video games, dishwashers, and other major appliances, I suggest that you buy this immediately.
  8. The Wire
This can be thrilling, unnerving and just occasionally tiresome. [#245, p.53]
  9. It more or less picks up where Beaches and Canyons left off, allowing for more subtle changes in tone while distilling the Black Dice sound down to a considerably purer essence.
  10. Mojo
Isn't an easy listen but those with an adventurous ear will be well rewarded. [Aug 2004, p.101]
  11. Under The Radar
Despite the somewhat uneasy spirit that runs through the album, the album holds together from start to finish impressively. [#7]
  12. Parts of the album seem arbitrarily sparse or less than sure of their ultimate direction, but Creature Comforts congeals into a whole that finds its mind below the surface.

THIS IS NOT GOOD MUSIC. Pretending to like it does not make you intelligent or cutting-edge! Nobody cares except you and your THIS IS NOT GOOD MUSIC. Pretending to like it does not make you intelligent or cutting-edge! Nobody cares except you and your pseudo-intellectual scenester friends. With that being said, I heard their new album actually has songs. I'm not exactly excited to hear it after listening to this mess. Full Review »
