  1. If you come to rock music for pure release, to celebrate the body, to forget your day job, Death By Sexy is just what you’re looking for.
  2. Its gloriously, thoroughly trashy fun makes it a guilt-free fling.
  3. 80
This is one mighty party album. [May 2006, p.105]
  4. Death by Sexy rubs out the line between novelty and earnestness, reminding us that music doesn't have to be ironic to have a sense of humor.
  5. So, a grown-up EODM album, hardly serious, but certainly more complete than the half-cooked sketches that used to pass for their songs.
  6. 70
The music is as sexy as it is horny. [May 2006, p.105]
  7. The result is somewhat akin to how Electric Six would sound if they were drinking tepid water instead of vodka.

Not nearly as fun as their debut album "Peace, Love, & Death Metal", but "Death By Sexy" is still a fun listen. Most tracks are great and some tracks feel unnecessary. Either way, it's hard to not fall into the groove of it. All In All, Death By Sexy is a worthy sophomore album that will make you wanna shake your hips. Expand

[6.9] Another delightful surprise from Josh Homme, Death By Sexy is good, but one-dimensional and ultimately just too strange. The guitars could use a little more punch, and the vocals could be slightly less high-pitched. It has a lot of fun tracks, but stylistically it really doesn't fit the members of the group. A testosterone-fueled orchestra of guitars is certainly more suiting to Homme, and might actually make this album slightly more interesting. Expand

This isn't even rock, this is like david bowie or some sht. Josh Homme should go back to queens of the stone age and everyone else in this band should go to whatever shthole they came from. Expand
