A classic rock-influenced masterpiece of horny fun. [Apr 2006, p.84]
  3. If you come to rock music for pure release, to celebrate the body, to forget your day job, Death By Sexy is just what you’re looking for.
  4. Death by Sexy rubs out the line between novelty and earnestness, reminding us that music doesn't have to be ironic to have a sense of humor.
  5. The album is not particularly deep or insightful, but it does provide danceable and entertaining tunes that don't bore and that don't pretend to be something that they're not. [#13, p.85]
  6. It's an unyielding piss-up of tattooed garage riffs, petrol-drenched blues and Marlboro-chuffing growlers. [1 Jul 2006, p.35]
  7. Sounds more fun on paper than it is in reality. [Aug 2006, p.111]

Hughes and Homme spend more time producing as compared to Peace Love Death Metal, and the results lead to a more wider audience appreciation. Hughes and Homme spend more time producing as compared to Peace Love Death Metal, and the results lead to a more wider audience appreciation. Death By Sexy isn't as diverse as the first album, but it's just as good, and more likely to catapult the band to stardom. Long live the Eagles of Death Metal! Expand

I can't believe the negative reviews surrounding this album... Death by Sexy is not only brilliant, catchy, and fun, but it's one I can't believe the negative reviews surrounding this album... Death by Sexy is not only brilliant, catchy, and fun, but it's one of a kind. So many critics complain about the lack of originality in music today, i can't understand why there isn't universal acclaim surrounding this album; it's easily one of the most original and outstanding albums to come out this year.
