This album is ok, it has its great moments: Lost In Your Light, Hotter Than Hell or Room For Two, but it feels kinda boring. Its overrated, Dua Lipa can do better

This woeful work hardly had any interesting or charismatic musical moments, leaving lame algorithmic melodies and boring chord progressions left on the surface to get in the way of Dua Lipa’s actual passions. My Score: 83/180 (Deficient) = 4.6/10

I found the whole record a little dull. Yes, it's produced well and it's very modern, but the entire record feels samey, overthought and...dare I say...under-sang. Dua has a nice voice, but the praise she receives is mis-guided. Yes, she has a distinctive voice in comparison to her rivals, but that doesn't make it overly special. All in all, it's a okay pop record.

Combined with massive hooks, flashes of Robyn and Rihanna, and drops that will give you chills, heartache has never been so much fun. [Jul 2017, p.109]

An excellent first effort from a budding pop star.

Closing track aside, this is a mostly compelling and wholly fun trip through modern pop with a charismatic protagonist, that hangs together way better than it should.
