    It's anything but a lo-fi vanity project. [Mar 2006, p.138]
  2. Generally good but occasionally uneven.
  3. A pretty percolating electro-pop record that embraces sweetness and strangeness in equal measure.
  4. The biggest hitch is that Electric President seemingly achieve all of their humble goals by mid-album, and so spend almost half their time with pencils down, repeating the day's assignments silently to themselves.
  5. Arriving somewhere between the newer work of Styrofoam (on Morr) and The Postal Service, Electric President mainly dabbles in melancholy-tinged tracks with a couple bursts distributed through the album for good measure.
  6. Not quite poppy and not quite moody, there's just not enough feeling in any direction to really make it stick.
  7. Everything about the album seems so careful, from the presentation to the songs themselves.

A pretty impressive debut from Jacksonville, Florida. How it ended up on German electronic label Morr Music is a mystery to me but I'm A pretty impressive debut from Jacksonville, Florida. How it ended up on German electronic label Morr Music is a mystery to me but I'm glad someone found these guys and put their music out. There are several solid tracks on this album. Full Review »

I thought this album was amazing... I can listen to all the tracks on it without skipping any of them, which for me is an achievement!
