She can be puckish, yearning, impossibly weary, intimate – and that’s all on one track, 20 Years a Growing. The pair’s most engaging songs start spare, then meander with gathering intensity to an orchestral crescendo

Their pairing might well be bananas, but it works. Buckley is certainly no luvvie on leave. This is, at times, a dazzling album.

The pair sparked and quickly knocked out an album that sounds years in the maturing. [Jul 2022, p.25]

Came across this while surfing for music as I always do on Friday. Hopeful to find a few albums I can pickup at record store. This album blew me away after listening to Jim O’Rourke and Fontaines DC. It’s difficult to describe and I know it won’t appeal to the masses. If you enjoy great production without glossy digital splices and an incredible vocalist — try it out. I’m very happy to have discovered this guy and girl. Think they’ll do well and be able to tour and make a nice living. Expand
