Stokes lacks Barnett’s songwriting diversity, worldliness and clever wordplay; too many of the songs on Future Me Hates Me are interchangeable, built on quiet, jangly verses and fuzz-button sing-along choruses that lament the usual litany of “I” and “me” woes.

Perfect guitar pop album. Not a bad song from first to last. The Replacements would be proud of Elizabeth Stokes and her bandmates!

The only thing this album lacks is originality but outside of that they have everything in spades and then some. From top to bottom this albumThe only thing this album lacks is originality but outside of that they have everything in spades and then some. From top to bottom this album does not lack a quality song which is amazingly impressive but even more so is that some songs just burst with energy and depth. The drummer is the heart of this album who drives you along while you are soothed by the vocals of Stokes and then you get hooked by the catchy rhythms. A truly quality LP and an even more amazing full length debut. Many top band's greatest hits albums envy this debut. Full Review »
