Once you assimilate to his timbre, the earworm hooks and easygoing drive of Giant Orange will be a welcome salve to the wounded spirit. [Mar 2012, p.94]

The result is the band's most consistently exciting release to date. [19 Feb 2012, p.51]

A lack of variation in tempos and tones gives a sense of redundancy, yet the pace of the album, with all of its gosh-darn hooks, carries it through to the end.
  4. 30
An album desperate for texture, flavor, and risks, Giant Orange is the aural equivalent of middle-of-the-road musical tragedy.

  1. A consistently enjoyable listen. At first the songs meld together and sound very similar-I started really loving two songs and thought the rest was mediocre-then after several listens my favorite songs changed and changed again-really solid effort and feel they have a breakout album coming soon that will bring them greater attention. Whether or not that happens, people should pay attention if they like straighforward rock done well. Expand
