Good News For People Who Love Bad News Image
  • Summary: Produced by Dennis Herring (Camper Van Beethoven), the latest release from the Seattle-based indie rockers sees a return of guitarist Dann Gallucci (last with the band on Sad Sappy Sucker) and a new drummer (Benjamin Weikel) as well as a guest spot from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

  1. Ultimately, what makes Good News so successful is that it retains the melancholy mood of past works, while at the same time adding depth and maturity.
  2. 100
Half expansive, burnished radio-rock, half swampy Delta hoodoo-hollerin' that reeks of Brock's Southern sojourn. [May 2004, p.103]
  3. Gone is pretty much everything they’ve learned in the last eight years or so, ditching all the progress they’ve made in favor of just making another Modest Mouse record. The results, needless to say, are disappointing.

  1. I really like this album. The song lyrics are just awesome, even people who didn't like the music should read the lyrics to think about it. Rate of 10 for the Music and the Lyrics. Expand

Their best album. there's not much I can say about it except that it has many songs I liked, only downside is that I'm christian and I've heard they're disrespectful to god but I guess that's OK with me since I like to play marilyn manson's the reflecting god before I go to sleep sometimes( and I usually pray after), maybe I just like the music or maybe my subconcius is a hypocrite but I try not to listen to the lyrics on a song when they say something i hate instead of hating the song when the song is awesome, so I'm just gonna say it's a good album.
