Heyoon accomplishes what many fuzzed-out, shoegaze inspired bands strive to do--create an album that is heavy, sludgy, experimental and equally precise; musical, catchy.
  2. 70
Overall, Heyoon is an impressive effort, broad in its scope and ambitious in its reach. Landshapes possess passion in excess, and this is made evident in the unbridled rhythmic ruptures and psychedelic pulses that define the record.
  3. Mostly, Landshapes sound like a band that might be a better prospect live, where their ever-shifting ideas can fully flourish.

Quieter, more ethereal tracks such as "Lone Wolf" have less of an impact, showing that Landshapes are at their best when they're loud. [Jun 2015, p.77]

Heyoon is an often confusing collection that depicts a mad mind, but one that at times offers enough intrigue to warrant attention.
