dmitriOct 15, 2007This is the most human record Radiohead have made in a decade. Listen close. The concepts of love and defiance in the face of annihilation will prove vital to the future of Western man.
-
-
NWOct 15, 2007Radiohead has learned through their artistic refiners fire that brilliant music can be both innovative and original, while still being accessable. And that's it's okay to write songs to smile to.
-
-
williamgOct 15, 2007this is the best record radiohead has realeased in the new milenium , its a beatiful album from start to finish, not to mention the revolutionary way they were able to release it, which I think in time will be the way future artist will release their material

MikaOct 15, 2007subtle smarter radiohead. just beautiful stuff.

PeterSOct 15, 2007Could hardly be more pleased with how this one turned out. Hugely looking forward to the second CD.
-
-
SamuelPOct 15, 2007Radiohead is still great, fifteen years later. While not as epic as OK Computer, this album is nevertheless original, channeling the creativity of works like Kid A into a genuinely effective masterpiece.
-
-
jakewOct 15, 2007This album is a very smooth transition from Hail to the Thief; it's better in the all ways that it strives to be.

TobbiG.Oct 15, 2007I can't stop listening to it... it is on repeat. Love it. Most honest work in music since the Beatles?
-
-
heeboohOct 15, 2007Great album, but que the sound quality is rather poor when you try to play it loud. Not as good as "Hail to the Thief", though. But I suppose it's a good bargain...for 2 quid, HA !
-
-
GrantNov 5, 2007The first time I listened to this album, I admit I was slightly underwhelmed. But after repeated listening, this is may be their finest work to date
-
-
KyleZ.Oct 15, 2007What album are the guys over at Dusted Magazine listening to? Honestly Radiohead's best album.
-
-
RylanLOct 15, 2007A resurregence from a band that never went away. Only radiohead could top themselves by releasing such a masterpiece and fundamentally changing the music landscape by denying the record companies their pennies. Ingenious culturally, and that's independent of the music.
-
-
sethisawesomeNov 5, 2007Not only the best album I've heard all year, its one of the best albums I've heard ever. Even better than Kid A. And I loves me some Kid A. My heart rate actually quickened during parts.
-
-
DavidE.Oct 15, 2007This album is amazing. It's better than those stupid pretentious indie rock critics from dusted magazine ranked it. Grow a pair of balls and listen to something other than an underground band.
-
-
FelipeP.Oct 15, 2007Their best album, beautiful!
-
-
SeanP.Oct 15, 2007...and so Radiohead keeps the mantle of being my favorite contemporary band. How they do it, I don't know.
-
-
CornellOct 15, 2007Every once in a while Radiohead comes out to show the musical world what to do next. Well, they are back with their best album since Amnesiac (thats right kids!!)...a beautiful mix of styles that -once again- makes even the hardcore fans adjust their idea of what(ever it is that) Radiohead is.
-
-
JohnSOct 15, 2007Proves yet again that Radiohead are incapable of producing a bad album. Though not quite on par "Kid A", "In Rainbows" is a terrific album that is all killer.
-

JonathanW.Oct 15, 2007from release to listen and to listen again...it simply is a wonderful gift and a time when such gifts are hard to come by.
-
-
JoshFOct 15, 2007In Rainbows definitely merits multiple listens, for it reveals its beauty in layers. I'm not floored by it like I wanted to be, but I like it nonetheless. Radiohead are like the Simpsons to me, in that even a less-than-stellar release is better than the majoirty of other things being released.
-
-
PatricioC.Oct 16, 2007Great album! Bye bye recording industry!
-
-
AndrewCOct 16, 2007Best Radiohead album since Kid A. What kind of crack was the reviewer from Dusted smoking?
-
-
AdamWOct 16, 2007I can only liken this album to a perfect game in baseball. There might only be 28 or so EVER that are even close to this good. It's the masterpeice of the decade so far. Anyone that gives this album anything less than perfect, should seriously question the health of their ears. I'd say it's worth at least $13.
-
-
NelsonB.Oct 16, 2007....paralyzing.
-
-
StevenM.Oct 16, 2007Consistently good all throughout. Radiohead at their best and this is only the first half. From the songs I've heard from the 2nd half of the album we are all in for another treat.
-
-
EricS.Oct 16, 2007I think that whoever gave this album 40/100 needs to be assassinated.
-
-
yofredm.Oct 16, 2007This is the least abrasive and most ear-friendly album since the bends. Very accessible. It almost seems like the challenge of listening to radiohead is missing, but its not, because I doubt any other band can deliver music of this caliber.
-
-
AnonymousOct 16, 2007Wow. This album was amazing. From the fun 15 step to the beautiful Videotape, this album progressed smoothly containing some of the best radiohead songs i've heard. I wanted more songs after Videotape. I guess i'll just have to wait until december third when the second half comes out.
-
-
RichardOct 16, 2007An amazingly beautiful album. So far my favorite songs are Reckoner, Wierd Fishes/Arpeggi, Jigsaw Falling into Place, and Bodysnatchers. I would say the weakest song on the album is either Faust Arp or House of Cards, but I will have to listen to those some more.
-
-
allenOct 16, 2007I'm really suprised at all the gushing for this album! I'm a huge Radiohead fan, and I do think this is a good ablum. However, I'm slighlty perplexed by the "best album ever made" and "best radiohead album ever". Seriously? Please! Again, this is a good record, but better than OK Computer and/or Kid A? Not a chance.
-

AaronOct 16, 2007best Radiohead album since Kid A
-
-
GlenGOct 16, 2007A shimmery, glittering, diaphanous masterpiece, layer upon subtle layer building into an incredible endproduct that I just can't get my ears off of. Everything that Radiohead ever has been, synthesized into something new and nothing short of gorgeous to listen to... again, and again, and again. Personally, it's already supplanted Kid A as my favorite of theirs.
-
-
DanOct 16, 2007Absolutely gorgeous. I can't stop listening to it! They are on such a higher level of musical talent than any other band I've heard.

-
-
PaulD.Oct 16, 2007I know Radiohead will always be critical darlings (see above) but, even as a diehard fan, I can only describe this album as a directionless drone. I never thought an album would make me yearn for the pop sensibilities of Amnesiac. Glad I only payed a fiver.
-
-
KSliceOct 16, 2007Reckoner rocks. All I Want makes me well-up. Thealbum is almost unassuming in the way it warms up to you. I am wildly surprised by how much I like it - and how much more I like it each time I hear it. Even non-Radiohead fans will find at least one track they'll like.

ToddW.Oct 17, 2007In Rainbows is a perfect amalgam of all that came before from the best band on the planet. While not groundbreaking like O.K. Computer or Kid A, Yorke, Greenwood, Selway, et al. show the pretenders just how to construct a melody quite unlike anything you've ever heard before. That's what keeps the fanatics, like me, coming back for more. A strong contender for album of the year.
-
-
jeremyOct 17, 2007I've never been a huge a fan of Radiohead, but this album blew me away. It flows smoothly, and every song is fantastic. And, it's fun to listen to! My one complaint? A lot of the songs sound similar. But hey, it makes for a superb album.

JordanS.Oct 17, 2007It's like walking the arc of a rainbow, blissful beauty, but still threatened by the sight of the distant storm raging with madness. Great stuff.
-
-
HasbroM.Oct 17, 2007The tightest and most grippingly beautiful thing they have ever recorded. While it does not upstage their other work, it does add yet another new piece to their growing collection of outstanding albums and makes their older work sound that much more right.
-
-
herberth.Oct 17, 2007This new uplifting and radient album seems to be remnants of The Bends, Ok Computer and Hail to the Theif. It is a great way to pull all 6 studio albums together. This album ranks up there with the best of Radiohead!!!!!

-
EOct 17, 2007
-
-
PaulJ.Oct 17, 2007I would actually give this a 9.5 if I could, but I could not rank it a 10 since that would be in the territory of OK Computer and Amnesiac- albums which were a little more streamlined than this effort. However, this is still one of their best albums and definitely shows the ongoing effort of the band to be avant-garde. Fantastic listen!

VinNov 8, 2007Beautiful record! Gives me a head rush for the first half then puts me in harmony for the last of it. This record is one of their best to date, worth it to pick it up. If your have been a Radiohead fan you won't be disappointed.
-
-
NigelS.Oct 18, 2007A nice relaxed return to the studio for Radiohead. Maybe not as in your face as 2003's Hail to the Thief, but much deeper and easier on the ears. Its as if the band wrote these songs, and just stripped all the fat off of them in the recording studio. There is no filler here.
-
-

MikeWOct 19, 2007it is the perfect album. every song is brilliant. there are no stand outs or "singles" - u could not release these songs separately. they are all part of one long journey. every band member's contribution can be clearly heard. videotape is the saddest and most moving song i have ever heard. there couldnt be a better and more satisfying ending to an album
-
-
AlexisOct 19, 2007This is a gentler, warmer and more accessible Kid A. It's not as good as OK Computer, but it's solid. They are so much more interesting, intelligent, original, creative and talented than any other band in the world today.

-
In Rainbows really does present Radiohead at their most full-blooded and confident.
-
Overall, the material feels more human, more honest, more assured.
-
Happily, In Rainbows is pretty, pretty good.
