This album is not at top 1 because of cringy TS fans, has to be the best alternative album of this century, a message on every song, this record saved lives, you are another person before hearing this. Radiohead changed the music with this one, weird fishes/arpeggi has to be one of the most beautiful song of all time, composition at what is called perfection. Pure art, 10 out of 10.

    15 step is awsome

although bodysnatcher has a great instrumental, i do think thom's vocals arent good. Nude sends you to heaven weird fishes is my fav track in this album, the drums nake it for me All i need is a gigatrack Faust arp is a nice little interlude Reckoner is my least favourite, something about the pairing of thoms vocals and the fast paced instrumental just makes the track

House of cards is a great tune

    Jigsaw isnt falling into place

And videotape is probably too minimalistic for me

It's a classic. It sounds like Radiohead had so much fun making this. For me personally their greatest work to date. It's an album I always listen to from front to back. I love this record so much. My jaw drops after listening to "Reckoner" or "Weird Fishes". God bless this album. Stunning songwriting and performances. "Nude" is a modern classic. Please listen to this album. This is a rock or pop masterpiece. Genre-bending genius. One of the best of their career.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In Rainbows cannot be described as anything other than a colorful, blissful and powerful experience. With a line of tracks that has no fault (the only one I could possibly consider is Faust Arp due to its less interesting development, but with the context of the album it fits right in), I have no choice other than to give it a 10. 15 Step is a powerful yet melancholic introduction to the project, and it just keeps building up from there until the latter half of the album, where it slows down and ends with one of the saddest songs of all time, Videotape. This project is a journey from the instrumentation to the surprisingly depressing lyricism.

    Favorite Tracks: All of them

Least Favorite Tracks: None of them

lacks any pretense: their aesthetic is organic and fluid, indicating a band that responds honestly and artistically to circumstance, rather than one that imposes a rigid, stagnant aesthetic for more idealistic purposes

Radiohead manage to get further than usually and offer us better lyrics and tracks that benefit from more original structures. Some songs remain classic compared to rock standards, and the others shine by the amazing crescendos they include. The band pays attention to the silences and the instrumental moments are often the most poetic and brilliant of the record. This album feels very particular, like it was thought to be made on measure to fit perfectly. It proposes raw tracks in addition to soft and dreamy ones. Highly versatile but also very consistent !

I can't help but make the comparison: I find Tom Yorke's voice and performance very similar to Matthew Bellamy's (from Muse), especially on the end of "Nude".

This album is amazing. From the chilling transition into the 3rd verse on Bodysnatchers, to the electronic production on All I Need, to Thom's amazing vocals on Reckoner, truly one of the best albums of the 2000's.

As some may say this is OK Computer II, well it's definitely not. In Rainbows is a whole new world, and I know it can be a little unsettling with all the different genres they explore in it, but that's the magic of the album, which up to date still sounds utterly original and modern. In my opinion Radiohead's greatest work.

While i do think this album is pretty overrated, i can't deny how good it is. Tons of great songs are littered across this 10 album. I cant believe they gave this album out for free when it came out.
Best Songs: Bodysnatchers, 15 Step, Nude, House of Cards
    Worst Songs: Faust Arp

Radiohead's most cohesive album. It combines their, The Bends era pop sensibilities, with the more eclectic and experimental nature of later albums like Kid A. It sounds like you're floating in space, enjoying the emptiness around you, as a virus has wiped out the entire civilisation.

This is how a perfect album sounds like. There isn’t much music in this world that you could compare to In Rainbows. This record’s just... Oh my god, why would I even try to explain? Give this one a listen. Or rather a hundred. Experience it. Study it. Keep playing it over and over. This album changed my life & it may change yours, too.
